How to remove AI metadata from images, PDFs and videos

AI metadata is information stored with a file about its creation or editing. It is different from the image, document text or video itself. RasmiClean AI creates a separate copy with supported metadata removed, using your browser rather than uploading the selected file.

Remove metadata from JPG, PNG and WebP images

Open the image metadata cleaner, which is selected by default.
Add up to 20 static JPG, PNG or WebP images, each up to 25 MB.
Review recognized metadata categories, then choose your export format, dimensions and JPEG or WebP quality.
Select Clean images. Review the completion popup and compare the output with your original.
Download individual clean copies or a ZIP batch.

Image exports target recognized EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC, text and supported C2PA metadata blocks. The tool decodes and re-encodes the image; quality, color and file size can change even when you retain the original dimensions. Read the EXIF and GPS removal guide for photo-specific precautions.

Remove PDF author information and document metadata

Choose PDF metadata cleaner on the homepage, when enabled, or use the PDF cleaner page.
Select one PDF up to 50 MB. Check its file details and any recognized document properties.
Select Clean PDF metadata to create a copy with supported standard properties and document-level XMP removed.
On the homepage, use the completion popup and result preview, then download the copy. If the browser cannot preview PDFs, inspect the download in a PDF reader.

PDF downloads begin with rasmiclean_ai_ followed by the original filename. Cleaning metadata is not redaction: names in the document body, form values, annotations, attachments and unsupported metadata may remain. Encrypted and digitally signed PDFs are not supported.

Clean video metadata and choose output quality

Choose Video metadata cleaner on the homepage, when enabled.
Select one MP4, WebM, MOV or M4V file up to 250 MB. Codec support and available device memory affect compatibility.
Review recognized container tags. The first scan or cleaning operation downloads a processing engine of about 31 MB to your browser.
Choose Original quality for supported stream copying without re-encoding, or select a resolution option for an MP4 export.
Clean the video, use the popup and playable preview to check it, then download your copy.

Resolution choices are 4K (2160p), 2K (1440p), 1080p, 720p, 480p and 144p. Resizing re-encodes video and may change quality; a larger size option does not create missing detail. Original-quality mode preserves encoded streams where compatible, but the container and file size can change.

Video downloads start with rasmiclean_ai_ and the original base filename; resized outputs also include the selected resolution. Clear the selection or use the clean-another-video action to begin again.

Check the result before sharing

Download and open the new file. Check image appearance, PDF pages and links, or video playback and audio. Review available metadata with an independent inspector when confidentiality matters. Do not share a sensitive original by mistake, and remember that a filename can itself reveal personal information.

No recognized metadata found means the scanner found none of the fields it supports. Metadata preview unavailable means inspection failed. Neither message proves that every possible metadata structure, watermark or provenance signal is absent.

Common questions about AI metadata removal

Will this remove AI labels on social platforms?

There is no guarantee. Platforms may use signals beyond file metadata. Cleaning does not make AI-generated material human-created, and you should follow the platform's disclosure requirements.

Does this remove visible or invisible watermarks?

Are my files uploaded or overwritten?

The cleaners process selected files locally and create downloadable copies. Your original files are not overwritten. The website still downloads software and requests site settings; see the privacy policy for storage, cookies and contact-form details.
